Canvas sync questions
Is StudentVision an official Canvas app?
No. StudentVision is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by Instructure. It connects to your own Canvas account using a personal access token that you create in your Canvas settings, the same way Canvas lets students connect other tools.
What does the Canvas sync include?
Your classes, assignments, due dates, and grades. Assignments land on your to-do list and planner, and grades feed your live GPA tracker.
How often does it sync?
Automatically about every 10 minutes in the background, and you can also sync on demand from the app at any time.
What if my school turned off student access tokens?
Some schools disable them. If yours does, you can subscribe to your Canvas calendar feed in Google or Apple Calendar and connect that calendar to StudentVision, which brings in assignments and due dates (grades are then logged manually). Google Classroom, Schoology, PowerSchool, Blackboard, Moodle, and 25+ other platforms connect the same way.
Is it free?
